丽水市位于浙江西南部。 全市总面积1.73万平方公里，常住人口231万人。现辖莲都区、龙泉市及青田、缙云、遂昌、庆元、云和、松阳、景宁县。是全国四个国家级生态示范区之一，综合生态环境质量居全国首位，被誉为“浙江绿谷”。

经济发展概况

丽水古称处州，传统工艺制造海内外享有美誉，如龙泉青瓷、宝剑和青田青瓷被誉为“丽水三宝”。改革开放以来，已形成日用洗涤用品、合成制革、中高密度纤维板、微电机、黑色金属冶炼及金属制品加工、特种钢冶炼及工具制造、不锈钢冶炼及加工、阀门铸造、五金机械、服装、食品、灯管、玩具、文体旅游休闲用品等各具特色的制造业主导产业。

到2006年止，年销售收入超过60亿元的企业纳爱斯集团有限公司，年销售收入在10亿元以上的企业有浙江元立金属制品集团有限公司和浙江青山钢铁有限公司，年销售收入在亿元以上的企业83家，年销售收入在500万元以上的企业886家。

交通

1、铁路
　　金温铁路穿过市区、丽水站是二级客运站，已开通货物与旅客运输。
2、公路
　　目前已形成以为丽水中心的放射状高速公路网络，丽水至温州、杭州、宁波、上海的高速公路已全线通车，到温州仅需1小时，到杭州约2个半小时，到宁波约3个小时，至上海约4个小时。
3、机场
　　距义乌机场100公里,温州机场120公里，萧山国际机场280公里，上海浦东国际机场480公里，到上述机场均已通高速公路。
4、港口
　　丽水的货物出口，主要通过宁波、上海、温州。

Situated in the southwest of Zhejiang province, Lishui covers an area of 17,300 sq. km, with a population of 2.31 million. The municipality encompasses Liandu district, Longquan city and seven counties: Qingtian, Jinyun, Suichang, Qingyuan, Yunhe, Songyang and Jingning. As one of the 4 national ecological demonstrations, Lishui enjoys the reputation as the Green Valley of Zhejiang.

Economy Development

Lishui was named Chuzhou before, where the traditional arts and crafts have high reputation, such as Longquan celadon, swords and Qingtian celadon, which are called Three Treasures of Lishui. Since the reform and opening, Lishui has formed leading manufactory industries with different characteristics, such as daily washing products, synthetic leather, medium and high density fiberboard, micro-motor, ferrous metal smelting and metal product processing, special steel smelting and tool making, stainless steel smelting and processing, valves casting, ironware machines, clothing, food, fluorescent tube, toys, recreation articles of stylistics and tour.

By the end of 2006, Nice Group’s annual sales revenue has exceeded 6 billion RMB yuan, Zhejiang Yuan Li Metal Product Group Co.,Ltd’s and Zhejiang Tsingshan steel pipe Co., Ltd.’s have both exceeded 1 billion RMB yuan, and 83 enterprises’ over 100 million RMB yuan, 886 enterprises’over 5 million RMB yuan.

Transportation Facilities

1.       Railway

Railway crosses Lishui city with a strong goods and passengers transportation capacity.

2.       Highway

Now the highway starting from Lishui covers the whole province. It takes only 1 hour drive to Wenzhou, 2.5 hours to Hangzhou, 3 hours to Ningbo, and 4 hours to Shanghai.

3.       Aviation

Lishui city is only 100 km apart from Yiwu Airport, 120 km from Wenzhou Airport, 180 km from Xiaoshan International Airport and 480 km from Shanghai Pudong International Airport. And there are all highways from Lishui to these airports.

4.       Waterway

Lishui is closely adjacent to of Ningbo Harbor (3h), Shanghai Harbor and Wenzhou Harbor.
